Today i was chattering with mascularpres during physics as usual
when she started blabbering abt "bacteria"

and then somehow the topic went to liu xiang..
so i was like: hen ke xi (很可惜)

and jia liu said: eh dun b so selfish la..

if i had sounded like im sad for the medal thing,
then i must really slap myself.

yea sure, everytime i watch the games i would b hoping tt china could win a gold medal.
and most of the times, it happens.

if that particular match doesnt involve any china athletes,
i would be a lot less concern and yes, sometimes i switch channels.
and its not really a gd habit la..

when i first heard tt liu xiang quit the race,
i admit i was sad because he wouldnt have the chance for the gold medal anymore
but then after a while, i felt sorry for him, not so much for the pain in his leg, but for the pain in his heart.

it would not be fair for me or anyone else to estimate he is under how much agony.. because nobody could have felt how he is/was feeling..

to have walked out on a race with millions of ppl with high hopes watching, to have walked out when the entire nation hopes tt he will clinche the gold medal, to have walked out alone, knowing that many would start spatting ugly names and vulgarities at him..

he must have been feeling a billions tons worse than us

and hence i felt it must have taken him a lot of courage to walk out like that.

and then he cried.

like all other human beings on earth, he is not a medal-churning machine. he has his glorious moments and his downfalls.

hope tt he is feeling better now.

i know he wont give up=)
